FIRST LEGO LEAGUE

“FIRST^® LEGO^® League introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to children ages 4-16* through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem solving experience through a guided, global robotics program, helping today’s students and teachers build a better future together.” In partnership with the Walpole Public Library, the Walpole Robotics Foundation and FRC 1153 founded, and ran the Walpole FLL Teams for the 2022 Season, Superpowered. In FLL, students are given both a game with challenges they must design a robot to solve, but also a question that they must develop and research an answer to. This year’s question was relating to renewable energy, where it comes from, how it moves, and how it is used.

FLLC Teams 56346 and 55822 have ~15 4th and 5th grade students and ~10 mentors from FRC 1153 and the Walpole Public Library.

Our FLL Teams are supported by the Walpole Public Library, Pizzano Engineering Consulting, Nerds to Go, the community, and our high school robotics team, FRC 1153! We thank you for helping start and run our teams!

Here Is A List of the 2022 FLL Challenge Events 55822 and 56346 Competed At or Compete At. There are no streams for most of these events.

Awards

At the Northborough Qualifier, both of our rookie teams did extremely well. Team 56346 won the 2nd Place Robot Design Award and a GOLDEN TICKET to the State Championships. Team 55822 won the 1st place Robot Design Award and a GOLDEN TICKET to the State Championships.
